The House has approved the "Continuing Extension Act" (H.R. 4851) as amended by the Senate.  The bill extends expiring provisions, including the Medicare physician payment provision, until May 31.  The vote on final passage was 289-112 . 

Enactment of the legislation ensures that further reductions in Medicare physician payments will be prevented through May.
