Stop
Nicotine Addiction Program (SNAP) on Amendment 4

The
Stop Nicotine Addiction Program Urges you to Vote
Yes on Amendment 4
You can fight heart disease by
voting “Yes” on Amendment 4 on Election
Day (Tuesday Nov. 7) or during early voting. This
amendment will save lives by funding youth tobacco
education using existing tobacco settlement funds.
Amendment 4 is sponsored by the American
Heart Association, American Cancer Society, American
Lung Association and Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids,
who have joined forces as Floridians for Youth Tobacco
Education, Inc. Our goal is to end the deadly diseases
caused by tobacco use and to protect youth, who are
most vulnerable. Why?
90% of adult smokers start in their
teens
Smoking is a major cause of cardiovascular diseases,
including coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke.
Smoking is the most important modifiable risk factor
for chronic heart disease.
To make matters worse, the tobacco industry spends
more money in Florida marketing its products than
anywhere in the nation - over $1 billion each year.
The time to do something is now.
Help us spread the word about Yes on
4. Please take a moment to forward this information
