James Voirin, DO, is currently director of the Physician Associates Headache Care Center in Orlando, Florida. He received his DO degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, CO and a residency at DeWitt Army Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA. Prior to re-locating to Florida, he was on the teaching staff of Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA and held faculty appointments to the University of Washington and the Uniformed Services Academy of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Voirin is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Headache Society, National Headache Foundation, Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA). Dr. Voirin has also served as President of FOMA District Society 3 and Trustee. He has given numerous presentations on topics such as headache, irritable bowel syndrome, and insomnia. Dr. Voirin's primary interest is in improving the diagnosis and management of headache in the primary care setting. He is involved in numerous clinical trials in headache and has presented numerous lectures on this topic.
