Professional Bio
Dr. Nelson is a Past-President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association District Society 3 and has served as an officer of District Society 3 since 2015. He is a Florida representative to the American Osteopathic Association House of Delegates and a Florida representative to the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Congress of Delegates. Dr. Nelson currently serves as Vice-President of the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Since 2011 Dr. Nelson has been an active volunteer with Shepherd’s Hope, an organization that provides free medical care to uninsured and medically underserved individuals in Orange and Seminole Counties. In the past, Dr. Nelson has served as an adjunct faculty member at both Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine.
One of Dr. Nelson’s professional interests is international medicine and he has participated in several short-term medical mission trips over the years. Some of Dr. Nelson’s hobbies include bike riding, playing the piano, watching sports, and learning about architecture.
