Professional Bio
Dr. Edwards is originally from Tampa, Florida. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Dr. Edwards then attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and graduated with honors in 1994. He completed his general surgery residency in 1999 and served as Chief Surgical Resident at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Edwards has been a physician partner of Horizons Diagnostics in Columbus, Georgia since 2000 and has served on the Board of Directors from 2005 to present. He was recently elected President of the group, replacing Dr. Robert Bush in January 2020. Dr. Edwards is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and is also a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society. He is the Director of the Center for Vein Care of Horizons Diagnostics, the only IAC accredited (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) vein center in Columbus, Georgia.
