Professional Bio

I am a second-year medical student at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM–Louisiana) with a passion for women’s health, health equity, and community outreach. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, I am committed to serving underserved populations and advancing equitable access to care.

I currently serve as Director of Community Outreach for the Student Osteopathic Medical Association and Treasurer for the Student National Medical Association, where I lead service-learning initiatives, coordinate community partnerships, and manage chapter finances to support mentorship, advocacy, and professional development for minority medical students. I also represent VCOM as a Student Ambassador, supporting prospective student recruitment locally and nationally through campus tours, interview day panels, and virtual presentations.

My research and scholarly interests include nutrition education, global health, and disparities in pain perception and treatment among Black women. I have co-authored and presented research on culturally sensitive approaches to improving dietary health outcomes in rural populations and am engaged in global health research initiatives in Honduras focusing on women’s health.

I am passionate about leveraging education, mentorship, and advocacy to close healthcare gaps and empower future generations.
