EXTENDED: DOH VACCINE RULE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD 

The Florida Department of Health has extended its public comment period for the vaccine rule to December 22, 2025. 

RULE NO.:  64D-3.046          

RULE TITLE: Immunization Requirements: Public and Nonpublic Schools, Grades Preschool, Kindergarten Through 12, and Adult Education Classes

We encourage our members to submit public comments as individual physicians on the benefits of these vaccinations. We also encourage members to ask family members and patients to comment as members of the public on the benefits of these vaccinations.

To send in a public comment, a person only needs to submit an email with their public comment to vaccinerule@flhealth.com.

FOMA member and psychiatry resident at BayCare Health in Tampa FL, Dr. Alex Sher, MSN, APRN, and Dr. Angel Green, internal medicine resident at ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee,  were recently featured in the AOA’s “The DO”, highlighting OMED25.
