FOMA Represented at DOH Hearing on Immunization Requirements

FOMA legal counsel Jason Winn, Esq., and FSACOFP/FOMA member Traci-lyn Eisenberg, DO, attended the Florida Department of Health’s public hearing on October 8 in Orlando regarding proposed revisions to Rule 64D-3.046, which addresses immunization requirements for school and childcare entry.

FOMA continues to monitor regulatory developments affecting Florida physicians, their patients, and public health. The association remains committed to ensuring the osteopathic medical profession’s perspectives are represented in discussions that may affect immunization practices and the communities physicians serve.

Public hearings provide an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in the regulatory process and discuss proposed changes that may have implications for healthcare professionals, families, and the broader community. Through continued involvement and awareness of evolving state policies, FOMA works to keep Florida’s osteopathic physicians informed and engaged in issues relevant to their practice and patient care.
