It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Blake Thacker, age 25, on June 14, 2026, in Missouri. Blake was the beloved son of Richard Thacker, DO, and Sherry Thacker.
Blake grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where he graduated from Lawton Chiles High School as a National Merit Scholar. He continued his academic pursuits at the University of Florida, where he completed his bachelor's and master's in Computer Science.
The FOMA extends its heartfelt condolences to Dr. Thacker, Sherry, his sister Allison, and their family during this difficult time.
At this time, a memorial service has not yet been scheduled. Further information will be forthcoming.
Blake's Celebration of Life details --
The Thacker family invites friends and loved ones to join them on Friday, July 3, as they celebrate the life and memory of their beloved son, Blake Thacker, who recently passed away in a skydiving accident in Missouri.
The Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at East Hill Baptist Church in Tallahassee, followed by a reception.
