Two New Osteopathic Medical Schools Planned for Florida
Two new colleges of osteopathic medicine are expected to open in Florida in 2028—one in Naples and one in South Miami-Dade—helping address the state’s growing physician shortage. With these additions, Florida will have a total of nine colleges of osteopathic medicine, the highest number of any state in the nation.
